On this course, delegates learn:

  • About the power of coaching, what coaching is and what it isn’t
  • The qualities of a successful coach and key ingredients for coaching success
  • How to build rapport and create a positive coaching conversation
  • The coaching process and how to manage and focus the conversation
  • How to use communication to create an open two-way dialogue
  • About the three levels of listening and how to explore the real needs
  • Coaching questions that create greater self awareness and understanding
  • Coaching questions that create clarity, commitment and confidence
  • Tips for agreeing the next stage and supporting the change

If your managers are directly responsible for sales or service teams, we recommend that to get the very best results, they firstly attend the following courses:  monitoring your team’s sales interactions or monitoring your teams customer service interactions. This will create understanding of what constitutes a ‘good’ customer interaction and where their team are in comparison to best practice.

The next course reviewing customer interactions with your people develops the manager’s ability to have productive conversations about customer interactions, to give feedback and create clarity about the way forward.

After the coaching level 1 course, managers can take their coaching skill to the next level and attend coaching level 2.
